Pre-production

Pre-production

This is the planning phase and lays the foundation for the video. Key steps include:

  • Concept & Idea: Determine the purpose of the video, the message, the target audience, and the overall style or tone.

  • Scripting: Write a script or outline that defines the dialogue, narration, actions, and camera shots. A good script helps keep the video focused.

  • Storyboarding: Create a visual representation of the scenes with sketches or diagrams, helping to plan camera angles, lighting, and shot composition.

  • Planning the Shoot: Decide on locations, props, costumes, and actors (if needed). Organize logistics such as scheduling and permits.

  • Casting: If your video involves people (actors, hosts, etc.), this is when you select and hire them.

  • Equipment & Crew: Organize all necessary equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting, etc.) and assemble the crew (director, camera operators, sound techs, etc.).
